Information required about RH 8.0

Hi To All,
   I have downloaded redhat Linux 8.0 from your website. My machine specs are :

Processor: Intel P4 1.2GHz
motherboard: Mercury board with Intel 845G chipset
Memory: 128MB
HDD: 40GB - Samsung
CD Rom Drive: 52x Samsung

I have tried installing Linux 8 on this machine. The installation goes smoothly, but when starting the operating system, the GUI interface does not come up (even when I have selected the proper option during installation). If I try to start the GUI after logging into root, the system gives some error and aborts, and am left at the CLI. 

Also, my monitor is by HP. kindly tell me as to which monitor type has to be selected in the monitor list that pops up during setup.

Please help me in these issues.
