1) 192.168.1.xxx is for LAN use, the rest of the world doesn't see it.
2) It's DSL and as I understand it, DSL ISP's allow users to host 
themselves (at least that is my impression after calling up serveral 
ISP's who offer DSL).

If the app is using port 80, then you probably already have it open if 
you're using Apache (http defaults to port 80). Check your error logs 
for the app (if any) and possibly Apache (if that's what you are using 
to serve it up) or whatver HTTP server you're using.

Only if you correctly set up the web server.
