Yeah, that's my guess. One of the things on my list of things to do is
to try gnome. I'm just starting out with Linux but have been a Solaris
user/sysadmin for years at work. Started out with SunWindows then went
to OpenWindows and was using CDE until I changed jobs. (Forced to use a
Wintel box at the new job. Shudder!) In doing some research before I
got my linux system, I had written down that kde seemed more popular
than gnome. Don't recall what made me think that. I've sort of been
watching here to see if there was a clear favorite but so far I haven't
been able to tell.
