Gnome panel freezing

Hi list,

	My problem is the following: I am running OOo 1.0.2 on Red Hat 9.0 with
GNOME 2.2. The problem is that when I start any of the OOo application
(Writer, Calc, etc) my Gnome panels freeze (panel and menu bar), and I
cannot access them anymore. This happens all the time. I tried removing
and reinstalling OOo, that fixed the problem for about a day, then it
started again. The only way to get back the Gnome panels is to
CTRL-ALT-DEL and Logout.
