be patient, wait till there are compadible RPMs available.
Unless it's really urgent I wouldn't install it at all until redhat
ships it. X is a VERY big part of a system and if you install it
incorrectly it can break a lot of things. Especially if it's not
installed via package management it can make upgrades in the future
break.
so yes you should be very nervous about upgrading, and I reccomend
against attempting such an upgrade unless it was absolutely vital
to the operation of your system. i.e. don't upgrade just because
of the new resolution switching extensions.
Unless the system doesn't matter much and you don't mind spending
time repairing it or reinstalling it if something bad happens.
