LPR/LPRng printing blank page

Hi! I've just installed RH 8.0 on my pc at home and I love it!! I do have a 
small problem however printing to my Lexmark Z22 color printer connected to a 
USB port. Basically, whenever I try to print a page, it always comes out blank. 
The heads will move back/forth as if it's doing something, but the page is 
always empty.

However, there was one occasion where I printed from Netscape, a web page with 
some url's in it. the text of the page came out blank, but the url's printed in 
their blue underline font on the printer. To make sure i wasn't out of ink, I 
hooked it up to a Windows XP machine, and printed from notepad, and it worked 
fine!!

I've installed the printer correctly (from what I can see). Any thoughts?

Also, as a side question - which is better to use as a printing subsystem - LPR 
or CUPS... and consequently - do *all* linux programs support both of these 
systems or is it program by program?? i.e. - if i switch my printing system 
from LPR to CUPS will all my programs still continue to print?
