Hi people,
Got a bit of a problem with IBM DB/2 and Redhat 9.0
I've been running Vsn 7.2 of DB/2 for quite some time on a RH 7.2 system.
unfortunately the system died and I decided to upgrade to RH 9.0
While everything else works the DB/2 database is certainly stuffed.
Whenever I try running any db/2 related commands I get:-
"db2:relocation error: /usr/IBMdb2/V7.1/lib/libdb2.so.1:
symbol _res,version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time
reference"
Any attempt to install version 8.1 and migrate databases also fail with the
above error.
While I was planning to move my db/2 databases onto another platform, I do
need to get access to some stored procedures on the above system before I
can do that.
Any suggestions as to how to get DB/2 running on the above platform
did think about setting a ld_library_path statement to point to a previous
version of libc instead of this one .. would that be an idea?
TIA
alex
