Hi guys,
I'm testing a teles PCI ISDN adapter on my redhat 8.0 and I'm experiencing
performance problems. The fact is, my downloads are extremely slow - the
connection even stops ( 0 baud rate ) - it's making impossible to download
larger files. Differently, the uploads are going fine - I got a 64KB
connection and I'm having 7,4Kbps when I'm uploading something.
This problem occurs in every kind of upload/downloag, e.g., sending or
receiving an e-mail, PUT or GET a file via FTP, etc.
I tested to install this same teles adapter on another machine, a Win98,
which stays right beside my linux. So, using the very same ISDN stuff, my
Windows machine have a significant better performance when downloading,
getting an average rate of 6,0Kbps. But even when downloading with my
Windows I can notice an oscillation on the baud rate that sometimes goes
down to 3,0kbs.
So, what can I do to improve my performance when downloading?
Thank you,
Bruno Negrão.
