I need some help, gang:
According to the instructions for Sun One I need to issue the following commands to install the community edition on Linux:
$ cd j2se-directory
$ chmod a+x j2sdk-1_4_0_02-linux-i586-rpm.bin
$ j2sdk-1_4_0_02-linux-i586-rpm.bin
I did this but get an error indicating the the command isn't recognized? Do I have to install some kind of SW that opens .bin files on my system (RH 8.0) BEFORE I use this command? If not, can someone please tell me HOW I install the application onto Linux (NOTE: I've already read the documentation, which is where I got the commands above).
