GRUB install on hard drive

Hi,
I built a box last night with the following config:
4x 9gb UW2 scsi drives off an adaptec controller
First drive (/dev/sda) or hd(0,0) in grub.conf, I
installed Windows 2000 professional. I made this a
primary partition.
Second and third drives (/dev/sdb and /dev/sdc) or
hd(1,0) under grub.conf I created a Linux software
raid 1 mirror and installed Red Hat Linux 8.0. Also
made this a primary partition.
I seemingly mistakenly installed grub on /dev/sdb.
When booting the machine, Windows 2000 automatically
boots, when what I really want is for grub's menu to
kick in and allow me to choose it, defaulting to
Linux.
I realise now I should have chosen /dev/sda to install
grub on the redhat linux install (if it would allow
me) but am now trying to get grub installed on
/dev/sda, and realise I don't know how to do this
without re-installing linux.
Anyone know how to do this?
Googling I came up with grubconfig, which is a script
that installs grub into an MBR, but this does not seem
to work for software raid under /dev/md0 (which really
resides under /dev/sdb and /dev/sdc).
At the moment I'm booting the system from the boot
floppy, which only seems to start one cpu (it's a dual
system). I also tried changing the boot drive on
adaptec's controller to 1, but that didn't work
either.
Any ideas how I can install grub into this type of MBR
combination?
