RHEL 3 server

Hello,

We've got a RHEL 3 server that seems to spontaneously crash and reboot. 
However, we cannot see anything strange in /var/log/messages and 
/var/log/boot.log. Is it somehow possible to log what happens at crash 
time or to show logs at boot time that might indicate where the problem 
might be? I am not really a linux specialist, so any suggestions are most 
welcome.
