yppush & iptables

I'm setting up a redundant NIS server on RHEL v3.1. When a user runs
"make" to refresh the NIS maps, it's supposed to push the new maps to
the slave server. It appears that the master server fires up a yppush
process and binds it to a particular port using the portmapper.
Does anyone know a way to control what port it chooses, so that it can
be properly firewalled? It appears to choose a port at random, making
iptables impossible to use.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance,
Norman Elton
