Named process keeps terminating

I am running BIND on my red hat box which is also processing email.
Every few days and sometimes twice a day, the named process stops
running and mail just gets put in the queue and won't be delivered.  The
following are some of the errors I am seeing in my logs:
named[2612]: message.c:809: REQUIRE(*rdataset == ((void *)0)) failed
named[2612]: exiting (due to assertion failure)

Right after this error appears to be when the service is quiting.  Any
ideas?  Thanks for your help in advance.
