Ip traffic Monitoring

Hi , 
I have a network with linux (Redhat 9  ) firewall between internet and 
local network , 
I want to put MRTG on firewall  and keep tack of all the requests coming from 
local network , 
I want to graph th network usage from all the local  network computers, 
is this possible ,  has anyone done this ?
if it is , can u direct me to some document/link
