Re: redhat--config-network corrupts my hosts-file

The problem with these GUI tools, especially redhat-config-network is that they
don't operate on the standard setup of files for configuring the network.
For the case in point redhat-config-network operates on files in
/etc/sysconfig/networking (as opposed to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts -- which
had become the "redhat standard" in previous releases).

Until the GUI tools are bulletproof I would advise to stay away. They are
supposed to make configuration easier but all that the really do is create
confusion (on the system) and dumb-down the admin.

Cheers,
Harry
