Thanks, Corey. And thanks to everyone else, too.

Everyone (unanimously) suggested that I clear out my browser's cache. I'm 
happy to report that I had already done so repeatedly prior to posting, and 
from your responses I did some more checking. It turned out that my !# !%! 
Internet Service Provider is running a transparent proxy with a 
"don't-refresh-within-an-hour" directive. Sigh...

Again, thanks. I was getting pretty worried there.
