newbie question.
Just trying to do the most basic module, printing "hello"
when I do /sbin/insmod ./hello.o, I get
./hello.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.20
while this kernel is version 2.4.20-8.
When I do /sbin/insmod -f ./hello.o I get
Warning: kernel-module version mismatch
./hello.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.20
while this kernel is version 2.4.20-8
Warning: loading ./hello.o will taint the kernel: no license
See http://www.tux.org/lkml/#export-tainted for information about tainted
modules
Warning: loading ./hello.o will taint the kernel: forced load
Module hello loaded, with warnings
I don't understand why and what I can do about it.
