If it's a transparent proxy configured to play dirty, there's not much
he can do about it.  Best case, setting the no-cache pragmas solve it. 
Worst case, he finds an external proxy running on a high port as you've
suggested.  Still, this only affects HIS browsing experience, not his
visitors.
