Unexpected up2date error message

G'day,

While trying to run up2date I get the following message:

Unresolvable chain of dependencies:
alsa-kmdl-2.4.20-20.9  0.9.6-1.fr_7.rh9. requires /boot/vmlinux-2.4.20-20.9

However, /boot/vmlinux-2.4.20-20.9 is present and correct on my machine, so 
what is up2date really complaining about, and how can I resolve this 
problem? Any help would be much appreciated.
