rsync application bug

Hopefully this is the right place to post this question.. if not sorry :)
I keep getting this error message from RSYNC  logged in my messages log:

Dec 28 03:02:12  kernel: application bug: rsync(25424) has SIGCHLD set to
SIG_IGN but calls wait().
Dec 28 03:02:12  kernel: (see the NOTES section of 'man 2 wait'). Workaround
activated.

I'm running RH9  and I don't seem to be able to find anything in my google
searches. Does anyone have an idea on a fix for this ?
