CDiso to DVD?

I have an *.iso that is intended as a CD.  

However, I am out of CDs and so have been trying to
put in on a DVD.

Using K3B it does not work... 

I have been Googling in an effort to find terminal
instructions for burning a CD, but have not had any
luck.

Am I tryng to do something that won't work?
