I have a Redhat 7.2 NIS Master running here, along with two RedHat 7.3 NIS Slaves. Our NIS clients range from redhat linux boxes (ranging from 6.2 - 9.0), solaris 5.8, and tru64 4.0B - 5.1B.
No problems here.
