kde3.3.1 and gcc compatibility...

Hi, 
I am running RH9 on a x386 machine and started encountering a problem when I upgraded my KDE to 3.3.1 (using konstruct and building from sources) from the previous version. I submitted the following bug to kde.org

and was eventually advised to seek help from the redhat user community. Is this the proper forum? Could someone please help?
