Updating OS, excluding packages

Hi!

I have a custom web application running on a production (FC3) server. 
This application needs a specific version of php and mysql in order to 
work as it should.

Since we all know that FC3 will hit legacy category on Christmas day, 
I've decided to upgrade this server to FC4.

My question is, is it possible to somehow exclude php and mysql packages 
from being upgraded?
