Red Hat is pleased to announce the availability of the *beta* release of
Red Hat HPC Solution. The supplied beta software is for testing
purposes only and is not supported or intended for production
environments.

The beta testing period is scheduled to continue through May, 19, 2008.

What is the Red Hat HPC Solution?
=================================
The Red Hat HPC Solution is a new offering for High Performance
Computing. It provides an all-in-one clustering solution based on Red
Hat Enterprise Linux and Platform Computing's Open Cluster Stack.

Supported Platforms:
====================
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1 (x86-64) or later.

Accessing the Software:
=====================
During the Beta phase, Red Hat will provide evaluation subscriptions to
parties interested in testing the Red Hat HPC solution.

In order to participate in the beta, please contact your existing Red
Hat or Platform sales contact or Red Hat Technical Account Manager.

After being approved for the beta, customers will receive an
Installation Number that will enable access as described below.

   Installation Number you activated earlier. Use the default
   package set.

Part 3: Register system in Red Hat Network
7) If you just finished installing a new system, reboot the
   machine. In the Firstboot applet, that comes up during the
   initial boot, register your system in RHN using your personal
   Red Hat login.
   If you are using an existing machine, that is not yet
   registered in RHN, login as root, open a terminal and run
   rhn_register and register your system in RHN using your
   personal Red Hat login.

Part 4: Subscribing to the HPC channel

the DHCP server and services for provisioning the cluster. All nodes
added to the cluster will be physically connected to this network.

5) Enter a private DNS domain name for the cluster. Do not choose an
existing Domain Name
