Hi,
with Fedora it is possible with the yum-protectbase plugin, that
packages which are installed from the main repository are not overridden
from newer versions that may be available on other repositories. This is
done by a parameter protect=1 in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-core.repo but
I can't find a repo file for the Red Hat Network.
The only possibility I found is to use the --disablerepo= option.
Any hint to do it in a config file are welcome
Gabriella
