I'm on severn with the latest updates from the severn-updates channel.
After experiencing the error with up2date, I noticed that the xterm package
had been uninstalled. I then attempted manual install of the new package
as above, which still gave the error. I then used
rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm
and found that this directory was not owned by any package. Presumably it
was owned by the old version of xterm but not cleaned up by the uninstall.
I deleted it manually and was then able to successfully install the new
version with the same command as before.
