This looks like a problem caused during the debuginfo phase of the kernel 
rpm build which confuses depmod.

If so, you should be able to 'insmod' ip_nat_ftp fine (as long as
ipchains.o is not already present from a previous modprobe).  Best thing
is to disable debuginfo in the kernel rpm and rebuild.
