Apt/Rawhide update doesn't seem to update kernel. . .

Just posted this under the Apt/Rawhide update to Severn give me??? 
thread, but it is really a slightly different questions, so I thought 
I'd better post it under a differnt title:

Updated everything in my Severn via Apt/Rawhide, but it didn't seem to 
update the kernel. I have still have  2.4.21-20.1.2024.2.1.nptl. 
Shouldn't it be newer than that?
