Yes, it is an ATI Radeon Mobility U1

Reading your bug report, the symptoms seem to be different than yours. I 
had decent X running and 3D support.

 This problem made X fail for both the radeon and tries with the vesa.

s-c-display errors out, but you do get a light blue screen, but the 
terminal shows error with lines in s-c-display. gdm tries to respawn. 
Running just X leaves a black screen, but appears to be in graphics mode.

I figure that when FC5 test 1 comes out, a fresh install is in line. 
Since it is this close to the test phase, compiled and installed X 
should suffice until then.
