Install report 2006-08-04 - X problems

Today's install went quite smothly (as I did not use http for the extras repository :)
until firstboot went to exit.  It did exit cleanly (afaict) byt there were some X
problems with gdm and a test of X -config <something>.

It still has problems with Monitor detection and configuration.
