This used to work, and I do have a swap device.

cat /proc/swaps
Filename                                Type            Size    Used    Priority
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol01         partition       2031608 0       -1



I get similar results with swap on an extended partition.

 cat /proc/swaps
Filename Type Size Used Priority/dev/hda5 partition 819272 0 -1
[jim cornette-lt ~]$ pm-hibernate
