how could such a broken kernel be released as an update?
havn't tested it yet but this reports are weird....

Good question.
Lucky x86_64 users didn't get the kernel (still in -testing).
New kernel must be kept in update-testing for week-or-two and just
pushed into -updates.

I meant, updates should be kept in updates-testing for a week or two
before being pushed into -updates.
This is kde-3.5/FC4 update disaster all over again :(
