It's probably going to bite a lot of people (particularly, those that don't
use gnome).  It's unfortunate that alsa-plugins-pulseaudio makes pulseaudio
the default alsa output (good), but includes no means to ensure that
pulseaudio is even installed or running (that's a job currently left to the
DE to handle atm).
