No, its not that type of "jerkyness" even though that is also an issue on some sources. 

I saw that it is most appearant when using mplayer -vo xv. 

Using XVMc the image is simply jerky and seems not to be able to keep up with too large updates... 

dropping xv makes it a lot better... couldn't actually say if I can still see it...
