The needle is irrelevant, if you don't got the haystack.

google "site:redhat.com stage2.img boot.iso 2008"

But anyhow, the closest I could find to my O.Q. was:

Because the code's buggy - it finds the stage2.img on the CD but fails
to load it properly.

I guess that's the answer.
