I would like to get Kismet running on a Compaq Presario V5000.
With a previous Linux the following kismet.conf line worked:
source=bcm43xx,wlan1,broadcomm
So I changed it to wlan0 but Kismet can's find wlan0.
There is no /dev/wlan0
Fedora 9 sees the wireless but so far I haven't been able to
get normal wireless working with Fedora 9.
If wireless isn't working, I don't see how Kismet might.
I installed Kismet from yum.
