New icons that are automatically added to the desktop upon insertion of
removable media (e.g. USB mass storage, cd, dvd) often place themselves
behind existing icons on my desktop and create a ugly kaleidescope like
mash of icon and text. Is this a known issue (e.i. bug report filed and
i cant find it) or if not is this a gnome based issue or is HAL/udev at
work here (to report it)?
BTW it is fixed by simple "Arranging by name" but it seems a silly
requirement. Sorry if mildly/not so mildly off topic (but im not looking
for someone to fix "my" problem).
