Well i certaintly can't comment on whether its appropriate for
kernel-devel to provide either of those. This seems kernel-devel
package is the new and better solution to try to provide the headers.
So it doesnt actually provide a kernel.. and it doesnt actually
provide kernel-modules. It does provide kernel-devel, which is
consistent with every other *-devel package in the distro :->
Providing 'kernel' would definitely be inappropriate and misleading..
packages actually require 'kernel' so it means something significant
to provide 'kernel'
Providing 'kernel-modules' on the other hand... i don't think anything
requires 'kernel-modules' so it might be okay to make kernel-devel
provide that but i still seems to me like potential double-meaning to
what 'kernel-modules' means since kernel-devel doesnt actually include
a single kernel-module.
Maybe Dave Jones can be poked into making a comment about this.
