Nope, I've made no change to either, and see the same issue on two
different FC3 boxes. To be clear, I'm talking about delete and not
backspace. INPUTRC is definately not set on either box inside of a
gnome-session.
Still, this is not an universal problem. On my two FC3 boxes delete works as
intended... Also, from gnome-terminal:
[wriede serve ~]$ echo $INPUTRC
/etc/inputrc
