Re: Problems with named in Fedora Core-1

But ...
By default named is "chrooted" in /var/named.
So in real /var/named, you'll see etc, var, ...
So the real conf file for bind is : /var/named/etc/named.conf
and the zone files : /var/named/var/named/xxx

If you don't want to chroot, have a look in /etc/sysconfig/named.

Starting named from redhat-config-services shows no errors. However,
the zones were not loaded. Using tail –f /var/log/messages shows that
the zone files were not found. The zone files were definitely in
/var/named/chroot/var/named folder.

Where and which file do I need to check or modify so that the named
knows where the zone files are located.

Thanks
