php source editor/debugger & Eclipse & FC3

I am looking for an open source php editor/debugger
and was considering using eclipse with the eclipse php
plugin.  

Has anyone had success compiling/using eclipse on FC3
with gcj?
Is there a "better" php editor/debugger?
