rpm does not show kernal source installed

Subject: rpm does not show kernal source installed

I have installed the FC3 kernel source code following the instructions in the release notes BUT when I run the command rpm q kernel-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 or rpm -qa | grep -i kernel it is not listed as installed. Is this normal? Under FC2 the source is listed as installed.
