i finally got it working by the standard steps:

expect it is supposed to automatically start nfsd if you have
an item in /etc/exports but it will not.
you have to directly edit
/etc/exports
/etc/host.deny
/etc/host.allow
then start
portmapper & nfsd
/etc/rc.d/init.d/portmap start
/etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs start
..i'm tired i might have missed something but after those steps mine
worked out of the box.
