Kernel build.

Sirs,

Would someone kindly point me in the correct direction to find details
of how to build a new kernel for core 2. There would appear not to be a
spare source kernel within the download and I need to get my SCSI
scanner to work with dmx3191d.ko as a driver.

Should I use 'make xconfig'.
