do the trick?
I want to leave /usr/lib/X11 in place for several reasons. But you have a valid point and I might just try to move all of the files in /usr/lib and symlink them to /opt/lib. I think this is what I did in the first place with RH9. I did the original move a long time ago. This would definately make updating a lot easier.
