What's up with gcc?

Hi!

I have installed FC3, but I have a lot of troubles with compiling programs...

For example when I trying to compile:
avifile-0.7
Beep Musical Player 0.9.6.1
transcode-0.6.12
or even older versions of gcc
I always get an error while 'making' process.

Is there any isuues about this?
My gcc is: gcc-3.4.2-6.fc3
