Thanks once again all.  I contunue to appreciate the suggestions.  But 
you can all relax.  This was resolved as I posted a couple days back 
with the suggestion to configure it as a JetDirect.  Although my printer 
is not network ready, Fedora prints to the Netport print server 
configured as a JetDirect flawlessly.  So no need to continue to give 
further effort to the issue.  Thanks so much. :)
