Encoding to MPEG-4 AAC...

I want to set up my Core 3 box to be able to encode MPEG-4 AAC audio
files. I have faac installed from freshrpms, but it apparently does not
include the mpeg4 library necessary to encode MPEG-4 AACs. Anyone know
what is necessary to enable this functionality? I'm currently looking at
the mpeg4ip tarball, but want to make sure I'm on the right track here.
Surely I'm not the only one wanting to do this...
