mknod: fail to create...

When I booted up, and most likely everytime I booted my Fedora Core 4
Test 3 partition, it stated:
mknod: failed to create /dev/console
mknod: failed to create /dev/null
mknod: failed to create /dev/zero

Any suggestions or explanations? I am sure these 'fails' are not
disturbing anything that I do on Fedora, I just wanted to see why.
